DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Ramped-up law enforcement this St. Patrick's Day weekend might be focused on catching impaired drivers, but area police and sheriff's deputies will bring a renewed focus on speeders starting Monday. All area law enforcement and the Minnesota State Patrol will have extra personnel on the lookout for lead-foots next week in a campaign aimed at reducing traffic fatalities and dangerous driving habits. Enforcement officials say that when a driver's speed increases, so does the chance for a violent crash. They remind people that the minimal time gained while speeding could have life-long consequences.
