Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Duluth's downtown infrastructure failed in two locations last night. The first to break was a value on a watermain in front of the Radisson Hotel that flooded out the underground walkway between the hotel and the Duluth Public Library. Two to three feet of water were pumped out of the skywalk going under Superior Street.
Then just before midnight another rupture occured on First Street and 3rd Avenue West. Rushing water threatened to wash out a portion of the sidewalk there. City crews were working on both of the breaks for most of last night.
