DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Cyber bullying and digital dating abuse will be the focus of an event aimed at parents and caregivers Tuesday night at Amberwing wellness center. Maude Dornfeld, the community education coordinator at Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center is the guest speaker for the event, which starts with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 8. According to the Miller-Dwan Foundation, though one in three children is cyber bullied and one in five receives online sexual advances, just 10 percent tell their parents about it. The presentation at Amberwing is expected to discuss threats and warning signs of online abuse and steps that parents and caregivers can take to mitigate it.
