Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Duluth police say they’ve made an arrest following a shooting in April that left a man permanently altered. Police say 20 year-old James Earl Wilkinson faces charges of first and second degree assault. At last check the Duluth man was in custody at the Douglas County Jail on unrelated charges. Investigators say the 27 year-old victim was shot in the chest in the early morning hours of April 27th in the 22-hundred block of West Second Street. While they have since been released from the hospital, the man was significantly scarred and there are bullet fragments lodged in his body that cannot be removed. Through the course of their investigation authorities say they received several tips from the public. Anybody with more info about this incident is urged to call Duluth Police.
