UNDATED (KDAL) - Heavy rain hit east central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin Thursday night and Friday morning leaving water over some roadways, filling ditches and compromising at least one culvert. The Hinckley area recorded nearly 4 and a half inches of rain since Thursday night and rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches was common across the area. In Superior, a culvert that was replaced after the flooding last year, has failed and water was again over the roadway between the Bong Veterans Center and Barkers Island Friday morning. Flash flood watches for the area are in effect for early Friday, and more rain is in the forecast for the remainder of the weekend.
