SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - A man from Chicago has been arrested and charged in a homicide that took place on January 15th of 2012 in Superior. 21 year old Tiawain Albert Johnson was already in custody on an unrelated charge and is now being held in the Cook County Illinois Jail pending extradition to Superior. Johnson, who lived in Superior at the time of the shooting, is facing first degree intentional homicide charges for the death of Toriano Dawen Cooper, who was shot outside a residence at 1901 North 12th Street, in 2012. Police say an investigation uncovered a robbery that took place a few weeks prior to the shooting. Cooper may have participated in the robbery of money and narcotics from Johnson. The shooting is believed to be in retaliation for the robbery.
