DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District is starting a large project to repair damage to its Scanlon Interceptor pipeline during last June's flood. While a temporary sewer pipeline is installed, there will be a one day closure of the Becks Road between Commonwealth Avenue and 108th Avenue West on Tuesday. The WLSSD will be repairing a one mile section of the interceptor sewer from east of Highway 61 in Thomson Township to the Knowlton Creek Pump Station near the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth. Repairs are expected to be complete by the end of the year.
