DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Residents in the Lakeside, Lester Park, Woodland and Hunter's Park neighborhoods will receive visits from real estate appraisers starting in July and continuing through the fall. At the same time, commercial appraisers will visit apartments city-wide. The push marks the first time County assessors will conduct appraisals of those properties in Duluth since the city assessor's office merged with the County earlier in the year. St. Louis County will appraise homes in other parts of Duluth in ensuing years, working east to west. According to a county news release, state law requires all properties be inspected every five years. Property owners due for re-appraisal will receive a postcard notifying them of a pending visit from an appraiser.
