DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth City Council on Monday night passed measures designed to control the sale and use of synthetic drugs. The ordinances will require a license to sell the products and will make it illegal to consume them. The only councilor to vote no on the licensing measure was Jim Stauber who said it would only draw more attention to the Last Place on Earth which will not be subject to the regulations since it is "grandfathered in". The new laws are scheduled to take effect in the middle of next month.
