DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - In a District Court appearance today, Joseph John Couture, Jr., pleaded guilty to charges of intentional 2nd degree murder in the death of Trina Louise Langenbrunner nearly 13 years ago. Couture also pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting aggravated witness tampering when, after his arrest, he he directed his girlfriend to threaten critical witnesses. The sentences imposed at the hearing totaled 39.3 years in prison. The St. Louis County Attorney's Office credits the unwavering commitment of law enforcement in the successful prosecution of the case.
