Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Superior’s street paving season continues this week with the start of milling. So far, crews have been cleaning streets and patching holes with asphalt mix. Those streets with pavement that’s in worse shape will have their worn surfaces milled off. That process begins this Wednesday and it should take a week to complete.
In related news, the city has a handful of larger projects planned this year, including the reconstruction of East 5th Street, between 12th and 6th Avenues. Also crews will rebuild 22nd Avenue East from East 2nd to East 5th Streets, in preparation for the soon-to-be built Super One grocery store. A new traffic light will be installed at East 2nd Street and 22nd Avenue. Crews will also be installing new curb and gutter as well as drop-off parking in front of Bryant School along Central Avenue.
