WASHBURN, WI (KDAL) - The Bayfield County Sheriff's Department had a busy weekend as they responded to three snowmobile accidents that left 4 people injured. The first was on Friday in the town of Drummond, where a 36 year old Woodville, Wisconsin man was taken to a Duluth hospital with head and chest injuries. Alcohol and high speed were factors in that crash. Also on Friday, an accident in the town of Bell badly injured two snowmobilers, a 28 year old man from Lakeville, Minnesota and a 24 year old man from St. Paul. Both were transferred to a Duluth hospital in critical condition. On Saturday, a snowmobile accident in the town of Bayfield left a 43 year old man from Stillwater, Minnesota with a back injury. He was taken to a Duluth hospital by Life Flight helicopter.
