BRAINERD, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Tourism Growth Coalition is supporting Governor Mark Dayton's budget recommendation of funding Explore Minnesota Tourism at a level of about 16 million dollars for each of the next two years.  Although tourism is an 11.9 billion dollar industry in Minnesota, tourism funding currently ranks 30th nationally and below surrounding states who compete fo the same tourists.  The coalition includes more than 90 tourism organizations around the state including Visit Duluth.
