DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - In the spirit of moving forward despite adversity, tomorrow's Martin Luther King Day march from the Washington Center in downtown Duluth to the DECC will go ahead as planned, albeit with an altered route that will take participants mostly through the skyways. Doug Bowen-Bailey, of the MLK Planning Committee, said organizers are encouraging those marching to dress warmly, and that it is okay to drive down to the DECC for the day's events. Bowen-Bailey said organizers considered calling off the march due to the weather, but decided that civil rights advocates persevered through far more to affect change, and that they should continue to honor those struggles. A list of events can be found at the planning committee's website, at: http://www.mlk-duluth.org/home.html
