DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A persistent light snow fall that totaled from 2 to 4 inches across the Twin Ports area has resulted in slippery road conditions and the accompanying accidents. Several multi-vehicle crashes on I-35 backed up traffic for a time and navigating up the Duluth hillside was quite an adventure on the streets that were not plowed or treated. Between 6 a-m and noon on Friday, the Minnesota State Patrol responded to 21 crashes and least 12 vehicles off the road in the Duluth area. The snow is expected to diminish in the afternoon and the coldest temperatures of the winter are due to arrive by the end of the weekend.
