UNDATED (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Health says the state continues to experience vigorous, widespread influenza activity over the past week. To date, there have been over 1800 hospitalizations for flu like illness and 60 deaths have been confirmed because of flu complications. The highest flu levels are in the south central and Twin Cities areas. The Health Department is still encouraging everyone to get a flu shot since the state may not have reached the peak for the season.
