GRAND RAPIDS, MN (KDAL) - After a man called 9-1-1 threatening suicide, two Grand Rapids schools were locked down for a time Friday morning. School Superintendent Joe Silko says police had traced the cell phone call to an area near the Elkington Middle School and later pinged around Southwest Elementary School. The individual was located and is being dealt with by Grand Rapids Police. Silko says students were not in danger and the schools have reopened.
