DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - 2012 was a very interesting year for weather across the northland. The average temperature for the year in Duluth was 44.3 which made it the 3rd warmest since records started being kept. Only 1931 and 1887 were warmer. The National Weather Service in Duluth reports that besides the warmest spring and summer season, the year also featured record flooding in June. A 15 month streak of above normal temperatures came to an end in October.
