ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The latest budget outlook for Minnesota shows improvement for fiscal year 2014-15 according to figures released on Thursday. The budget shortfall is now predicted to be 627 million dollars which is considerably less than the November forecast of a deficit of a billion dollars. State Senator Roger Reinert says while the deficit has been reduced by about 40 percent due to economic growth, structural budget issues still remain.
