Duluth, MN (KDAL) - A public meeting last night in Duluth laid out two plans for the restoration of Chester Creek.  Following last summer's flooding the creek bed through Chester Bowl was left with nothing but strewn rubble and a small, struggling flow of water.

Plan one would restore the creek as is and that would allow for a longer ski season at Chester Bowl. The other would restore a small pond and several pools, which would benefit trout habitat.  That idea caught the attention of members of Trout Unlimited who attended last night's meeting.

Parks and Rec will come up with a final plan and present it to the Duluth City Council for their approval.  Work should be done this spring and summer.
