MADISON, WI (KDAL) - A key legislative committee has signed off on a bill that would ease restrictions and clear the way for iron ore mining in northern Wisconsin. The Joint Finance Committee approved the bill on a 12-4 vote and it now goes to the full Senate and Assembly for votes. The current bill was modified slightly from one that failed by one vote last year.
