ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources has issued over 3.5 million dollars to seven soil and water conservation districts for those affected by last June's severe flooding. The districts include South St. Louis, Pine and Lake. The funds will be used for sediment and water quality control projects. Some of the specific projects are streambank stabilization of nine private homes along the French River, Bent Creek, Keene Creek, Chester Creek, the St. Louis River and Miller Creek in St. Louis County. Recommendations for the funding was provided by the Minnesota Recovers Task Force.
