DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers will host the 20th Annual Toothpick Bridge Building competition on Tuesday. Over 200 students from 16 regional high schools will construct over 200 bridges using just toothpicks and glue. They will be judged on aesthetics and strength as the students load their own bridges to failure to determine the bridge that can hold the most weight. The event runs from 10 a-m to 1 p-m Tuesday in the UMD Civil Engineering Building.
