DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The St. Rose Catholic School in Proctor will be closing at the end of the current school year.  The Bishop of the Diocese of Duluth, Paul Sirba, accepted the recommendation of school officials to close the school that has been in operation since 1924.  The school has 42 students from kindergarten through 6th grade registered this year which is down from 80 students in 2000.  Officials say they hope to find work for the  five teachers, principal and support staff now at St. Rose at other Catholic schools in the diocese.
