St. Paul, MN (KDAL) - From the land of sky blue waters....the former Hamm's Brewery buildings in St. Paul are getting a new lease on life. A company called Urban Organics is converting the fabled brewery into an aquaponics farm. Tanks filled with tilapia fish will be used to fertilize produce while the plants will filter the water, which will be returned to the fish in a closed cycle. They hope to grow a million pounds of produce a year this way, that is if the ghost of the Hamm's bear doesn't eat all the fish.
