St. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - A group of Minnesota community leaders and concerned citizens will provide their own speeches ahead of President Obama's State of the Union address. St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, Rabbi Amy Eilberg, Heather Martens, executive director of Protect MN and Jane Kay of One Million Moms for Gun Control are among those who will speak Monday morning at the State Capitol in favor of the president's measures for gun violence prevention. The group will speak out two months after the school shootings at Sandy Hook elementary in Newtown, CT. The event is intended to urge Minnesota's congressional delegation to support the president's gun control plan.
