Flood relief continues to roll into St. Louis County as needed. The most-recent mitigating measure will benefit two area businesses to the tune of $170,000. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has approved the County's application of the money, which falls under the Minnesota Investment Funds Disaster Recovery Financing. Slated to receive $150,000 is Lake States Insulation, in Proctor, to help with clean-up, repairs and loss of inventory. Also, Floodwood's Retreat Golf Course is hoping to receive $15,000 for costs associated with repairing tee boxes and cart paths. The County will get the remaining $5,000 for administrative assistance.
