Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Authorities continue to investigate the cause of a snowmobile versus car crash which injured a Duluth man. The Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office says the wreck happened Friday evening on Lavaque Road, a quarter mile north of Martin Road. That’s where deputies say 41 year-old Gregory Allen Carlson was eastbound on a snowmobile trail when he attempted to cross Lavaque and was struck by a northbound car driven by 54 year-old Michael Paul Salo of Saginaw. Carlson’s injuries were non-life threatening, including a compound fracture to his lower right leg.
