Duluth, MN (KDAL) - A longtime state legislator is calling it quits. Minnesota State Representative Tom Huntley this morning announced that he will not seek re-election to his seat. The D-F-L’er represents District 7-A and is in his 11th term in the legislature. He says he’s leaving to pursue continued service in health care, particularly focusing his attention on primary care and rural access issues. He says (quote) “I feel the time is right for me to step aside…and step into a new avenue of service where I can use my experience and knowledge to better implement health policy in Minnesota.” (end quote)
