DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - It has been a tough season for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign in Duluth. Director of Development, Gordy Mesedahl, says the big snow combined with very cold temperatures has resulted in fewer shoppers and also fewer bell ringer volunteers. Compared to last year, the number of volunteers are down by 30 percent. Hearty bell ringers are needed to fill two hour shifts at various Red Kettle locations. There are 17 kettles in the Duluth area and some are located indoors. Sign up is easy online at salvationarmynorth.org or by phone at 218-722-7934.
