Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Despite single digit temperatures and a coating of light snow, more than 100 polka enthusiasts turned out to the AAD Shrine building in Hermantown Sunday for Polkapalooza. One of those northlanders was Phyllis Port of Cloquet, who told K-D-A-L News she enjoyed the opportunity to listen to the music that she loves. For her dealing with the weather was worth it to have a fun afternoon with her sister. 610 KDAL organizes the annual event, which features the ‘Singing Slovenes’ and ‘The Chmielewski Funtime Band’. Proceeds from ticket sales go to the A-L-S Association.
