DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The high temperature on Sunday in Duluth reached 94 degrees, just one short of the record for August 25th of 95 set in 1888. The heat is expected to continue again Monday with a heat advisory in effect for much of the area until 9 p-m. High temps will be in the upper 80's to low 90's and with the humidity factored in, the Heat Index readings will range from 95 to 105. The exception will be areas close to Lake Superior where an on shore breeze will provide some relief. Showers and thunderstorms could return during the late afternoon and night on Monday..
