DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Construction begins Thursday to repair 13 flood damaged areas along a six mile stretch of North Shore Drive. The 1.4 million dollar project will replace damaged culverts and guard rails and repair areas where significant slides occurred during last year's flooding. During the first phase of the project, North Shore Drive will be closed between the two places it's crossed by Stoney Point Drive for about a three week period. Signs will be posted detouring traffic around the work area. Three other segments of the road will be closed at later dates as the work progresses.
