DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Nearly 80 thousand dollars was made available by the City of Duluth to support projects and initiatives to enhance and improve parks and recreation in the city. Mayor Don Ness announced the organizations selected to receive the Parks Fund Neighborhood Grants on Tuesday. Eighteen groups will receive funds of up to 5 thousand dollars for projects across the city. Duluth is partnering with the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation that accepted and processed the applications. Proposals were presented to the Parks Commission and then the City Council for final approval.
