DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Within an hour on Sunday night, Duluth Police responded to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital on reports of two separate victims of gunshot wounds that were transported there by private vehicles. A 20 year old male resident had a gunshot wound to the hand and reported it occurred outside in the 400 block of East 6th Street. The second victim was a 24 year old male resident who had a gunshot wound to the chest reportedly occurring outside at Pecan Avenue and Upham Road. Both victims had non-life threatening injuries and were treated and released from the hospital. The incidents may have been related but police are unable to determine the relationship between the victims and suspects at this time. Anyone with information about the shootings are asked to call the Duluth Police Violent Crimes unit.
