DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - An agreement, announced Monday, has assured that the Bayfront Blues Festival will continue to be held at Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park through at least 2016. In a news conference Monday morning, Mayor Don Ness says extending the contract for three more years was an easy decision given the event brings worldwide attention to Duluth. Blues Festival President Chris Mackey says Bayfront Park is where the annual festival belongs and the great venue helps make it one of the most popular in the country. The 25th Annual Bayfront Blues Festival is being held this Friday through Sunday
