UNDATED (KDAL) - As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, Minnesota and Duluth will participate in the annual statewide tornado drills on Thursday. At 1:45 p-m and again at 6:55 p-m sirens will sound and announcements will be made on weather radios and commercial radio and TV stations. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses while the evening drill is designed for second shift workers and families at home. The Wisconsin Tornado Drill originally scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until Friday at 1:45 p-m since actual severe weather and possible tornadoes is forecast for the southeast part of the state on Thursday.
