DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Northeastern Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths Steering Committee has joined forces with the Proctor Destination Imagination for an educational event at the Proctor High School Field House on Thursday. The event is designed to show the dangers of distracted driving as the Prom and Graduation seasons arrive. A vehicle from a fatal distracted driving crash will also be on display. A young woman was ejected from the vehicle and killed because she was texting and driving. Similar events will be held at Duluth East, Denfeld, Floodwood and Marshall High Schools in the coming days. In the last three years, teen drivers were involved in crashes that resulted in 25 deaths and over 4 thousand injuries in Minnesota.
