ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - Even though the winter weather is hanging on, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is kicking off "Work Zone Awareness Week" on Monday. The campaign is meant to remind motorists to slow down and pay attention in road construction zones. Last year there were over 1900 crashes in Minnesota work zones resulting in 3 deaths. The most common factors in the crashes were speed and inattentive driving.
