DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Pete Johnson, a fire Captain in the Duluth FIre Department, was elected by members of the Fire Fighters Local 101 as their new president. Johnson won 71 percent of the vote and will replace Erik Simonson who stepped down after winning a seat in the Minnesota Legislature last fall. Johnson has served on the union's executive board since 2007 and on the City of Duluth Labor-Management Committee.
