ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Court of Appeals is hearing arguments in a lawsuit filed by conservation groups against the Department of Natural Resources. The groups say the DNR did not provide a formal public comment period before the wolf hunting and trapping season began last year. Wolves were taken off the endangered species list in January and the DNR says the season posed no danger to the wolf population. Over 400 wolves were harvested in the season where quotas were set by the DNR.
