(KDAL) - Trick or Treating safety begins with proper supervision of the little ghosts, goblins and superheroes. Make sure costumes don't restrict vision and are short enough to prevent tripping over them. When trick or treating after dark, give the kids a flashlight and use reflective tape on their outfits. Motorists are urged to be extra watchful when driving in neighborhoods where little ones will be crossing streets or walking on them. For those passing out the treats on Halloween, keep sidewalks and porches clear of obstructions and well lit and consider using battery powered lights in the jack-o-lanterns instead of candles.
