(KDAL) - U-S Coast Guard crews responded Monday to a distress call from a troubled tall ship off the coast of North Carolina which is about 160 miles from the center of Hurricane Sandy. The HMS Bounty was built for the 1962 movie "Mutiny On The Bounty" and visited Duluth several years ago. The Bounty had was taking on water and the 17 people on board took to life boats and abandoned the ship. The Coast Guard says they rescued 14 and are continuing a search for others. The Bounty sunk about 90 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras.
