(KDAL) - The Minnesota Supreme Court on Friday denied a petition to further review a request for a preliminary injuction to stop the upcoming state wolf hunting season. DNR Commissioner Tom Landwehr says the action resolves any uncertainty that hunters and trappers might have for the season that begins on Saturday, November 3rd. The planned wolf hunting and trapping seasons will go on as planned this fall and winter. Landwehr says the state has a about 3000 wolves and the conservative target of 400 wolves in the hunt will not have a significant impact on the population.
