(KDAL) - The WIsconsin State Patrol is cracking down on speeding and other dangerous driving behaviors from on high. Air Support Unit pilots have flown 79 traffic safety enforcement missions during the past year resulting in 2,197 traffic stops and 1,324 speeding citations. The Patrol flies out of Madison, Oshkosh and Eau Claire and covers 26 different counties. The Air Support Unit will continue their enforcment efforts this month and are planning new missions in 2013. The unit is also equipped to assist law enforcement agencies statewide in search and rescue missions, traffic control and criminal suspect tracking.
