Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Four people were charged yesterday in connection with the death last month of a woman from Floodwood whose body was exhumed from a shallow grave along Reservation Road just outside of Cloquet. The quartet allegedly killed twenty-five year old Cristyna Watson in order to steal her car and trade it for drugs.
One of the suspects was already in jail, twenty-two year old Michael Stewart. According to second degree murder charges he used a hammer and then joked Watson to death. His girlfriend, 24 year old Alyssa Peterson was also allegedly involved as was 53 year old Clifford Thompson. The fourth suspect was an underage male. His name was not released in court documents.
