ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - Over 100 thousand people in Minnesota have requested absentee ballots for the November election. Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says over 41 thousand of those have already been returned and accepted. Voters who are eligible to vote by absentee are encouraged to apply for the ballot material from county auditors soon since the absentee ballot period ends November 5th. Ritchie says Minnesota does not have "early voting" and there are specific criteria that must be met to be issued an absentee ballot. More information can be found at www.mnvotes.org
