DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has awarded Duluth of 285 thousand dollars in funds to assist former employees of the Georgia Pacific plant that closed. The grant will help the city serve up to 80 dislocated workers who might need additional training or assistance to return to the labor force. The grant is effective immediately and will run through 2013 with an option for an extension if needed.
