UNDATED (KDAL) - The jackpot for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday has increased to 500 million dollars thanks to brisk sales of the 2 dollar tickets.  The cash option would be 327 million dollars.  This is the 2nd biggest lottery jackpot in U-S history, just behind the 656 million dollar grand prize in the Mega Millions lottery in March of this year.  Powerball is played in 42 states including both Minnesota and WIsconsin.  The odds of winning the jackpot remains one in 175 million.
