Ashland, WI (KDAL) - The first weekend at Deer Camp in Wisconsin has ended. Hunters opened the 2012 deer gun season on Saturday with nice weather for hunters, but no snow for tracking. There were more than enough prey in the woods as several reporting stations in the Northern tier of counties reported that tags were up this year. This year the rules have changed, some restrictions were relaxed and that made it easier for hunters to get a deer.
Wisconsin's annual deer hunt continues this weekend and next.
